About AMSRevive
AMSRevive was founded by Thom Fox after more than two decades working within association finance, membership systems, and operational leadership roles.
Prior roles included financial and operational leadership within large membership organizations as well as collaboration with leading Association Management System providers.
Through that work, he saw firsthand how easily membership systems, billing processes, and financial reporting can drift out of alignment when institutional knowledge leaves an organization.
Membership organizations rely on a complex relationship between their Association Management System (AMS), financial reporting, billing processes, and internal procedures.
When these systems are aligned, operations run smoothly and leadership can trust the information they receive.
When they drift apart, even routine tasks become difficult.
This often happens when institutional knowledge leaves an organization. The departure of an AMS superuser, finance lead, or long-tenured staff member can quickly create uncertainty around billing, reporting, and operational workflows.
AMSRevive helps restore clarity.
Experience That Understands Associations
AMSRevive brings more than two decades of experience working directly within association finance, membership systems, and operational management.
This work has included:
• financial leadership within large membership organizations
• oversight of membership billing and revenue systems
• association management system implementation and administration
• financial reporting for boards of directors and executive leadership
• reconciliation of membership system data with accounting records
• operational documentation and staff training
Because of this experience, AMSRevive understands the unique environment in which associations operate. Governance structures, volunteer leadership, annual audits, and complex membership billing cycles all influence how operational systems must function.
How AMSRevive Works
AMSRevive is often engaged during periods of operational transition.
This may include:
• the departure of a key AMS administrator
• uncertainty around membership billing processes
• difficulty reconciling AMS activity with financial reporting
• preparation for an audit or financial review
• operational changes that require new workflows or documentation
In these situations, the goal is not simply to address the immediate problem.
The goal is to restore confidence in the organization’s operational systems.
That includes stabilizing data, aligning financial reporting, documenting procedures, and ensuring staff have the tools and training necessary to maintain those systems moving forward.
A Practical Approach
AMSRevive approaches every engagement with a focus on clarity and practicality.
Rather than introducing unnecessary complexity, the work focuses on:
• understanding the systems already in place
• identifying where processes have drifted
• restoring reliable operational structure
• documenting procedures that staff can confidently maintain
Solutions that work in other industries often do not translate cleanly to associations.
Our work is designed specifically for that environment.
For over a decade, we've relied on Thom at AMSRevive as not only a pilot user but also as backup support during the onboarding of new customers. His unwavering dedication and transparent approach have made him an invaluable partner for us, and he's consistently well-received by our customers.
